Digital Designer and Packaging Designer
Job Description: In this capacity, your primary task will involve crafting visually captivating and compelling designs tailored for a range of digital platforms, packaging materials, illustrations, and marketing collateral. You will collaborate closely with both the marketing and design departments to bring forth fresh and inventive design concepts that are in sync with our brand identity and objectives. The perfect candidate should possess a robust portfolio that demonstrates their expertise in digital design, packaging design, illustration design, and marketing design.
Key Responsibilities:
- Digital Design: Develop visually engaging and user-friendly designs for websites, mobile apps, and other digital platforms. Create graphics, banners, and visuals for online advertising campaigns. Design social media graphics, profile images, and cover photos. Ensure designs are responsive and compatible with various devices and screen sizes.
- Packaging Design: Design product packaging that is not only attractive but also functional and informative. Create labels, tags, and packaging materials that adhere to branding guidelines and regulatory requirements. Work closely with production teams to ensure packaging materials are feasible for manufacturing.
- Illustration Design: Create custom illustrations or artwork for various purposes, such as branding, product designs, and marketing materials. Illustrate characters, icons, and other visuals to enhance the visual appeal of content.
- Marketing Collateral:Design marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, posters, and promotional materials. Collaborate with the marketing team to create visuals that support marketing campaigns and strategies.
- Brand Consistency: Ensure that all designs adhere to the company's brand guidelines and maintain a consistent brand identity. Collaborate with the marketing and design teams to align designs with brand objectives.
- Creative Concept Development:Generate innovative design concepts that align with the company's goals and message. Stay updated on design trends and incorporate relevant elements into designs.
- Software Proficiency:Utilise design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.) and other relevant tools for design work.
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field is preferred, but substantial work experience in a relevant role can also be considered.
- A track record of proven experience in positions such as Digital Designer, Packaging Designer, or similar roles is essential.
- A strong portfolio that showcases your proficiency in digital design, packaging design, illustration design, and marketing design is a must.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design software tools like Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, is required.
- A solid understanding of design fundamentals, including typography, colour theory, and layout principles, is expected.
- The ability to meet project deadlines and excel in a fast-paced work environment, even under pressure, is highly valuable.
